CO2 extracts are lipophilic (fat-soluble) complexes of biologically active substances obtained from plant materials by extraction with carbon dioxide (liquefied CO2 gas) at high pressure and low temperature. The CO2 extracts produced by Biozevtika can be supplied to customers both in original form and in the form of low-concentration oil solutions, as well as in the form of stable water-soluble emulsions.
In total, our company has certified and produced over 200 kinds of CO2 extracts. For the convenience of food industry users, all extracts applicable in food products are separated in a separate group and listed on this page.
Food extracts, in turn, are divided into two additional groups, roughly corresponding to their popularity – the main and auxiliary groups. The division is of course conditional and only serves to help our customers to quickly find their way around the huge range.
