Bergamot (citrus fruit)CO2 extract

To obtain this CO2 extract, the peel of the fruit of an East Asian hybrid of orange and lemon called bergamot is used as a raw material.

In medicine, it is considered one of the strongest natural antiseptics with antibiotic properties. Preparations based on bergamot oil are recommended for the treatment of flu, colds, bronchitis, sore throat and tonsillitis. It is used to eliminate urinary tract infections and intestinal parasites. It supports the functioning of the digestive tract. In aromatherapy, it is recommended as a remedy for stress and anxiety and improves cognitive abilities. It is also considered an active aphrodisiac.

In cooking and food production, bergamot CO2 extract can be used to flavor green and black tea. The extract can be used to flavor alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, while the beverages themselves develop a slightly fruity aroma and a slightly astringent taste. Bergamot CO2 extract can flavor vegetable oils, which are further used for cooking green salads and pastries.

Bergamot CO2 extract “Biozevtika” is an oily liquid of yellow-green color with a fresh, characteristic smell of bergamot.
